18 Students Honored at First Literacy to Work Initiative Graduation Ceremony

WEST MICHIGAN – March 16, 2011 – The West Michigan Strategic Alliance (WMSA) hosted the West Michigan Literacy to Work Initiative Spring 2011 Graduation on Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at the Midtown Center in Holland, Michigan. Eighteen students were awarded certificates for excellence in completing all components of the Literacy to Work Initiative during the past six-months, including GED and/or National Career Readiness Certification, Michigan Employability Skills Certification, Financial Literacy Certification, Computer Literacy Certification, and Career Coaching. Forty students received recognition for completing their GEDs through the Literacy to Work Initiative. A reception was held following the graduation ceremony sponsored by Huntington Bank.
